Great photos, and a cool project… I actually live in the area, and started taking smartphone pictures around Cliffe, Grain etc with the idea of doing something similar, so you’re giving me some inspiration to see if I can match you work with a bit more effort and potentially a better camera…

Just came across the site. Having discovered walking late in life and done about a dozen long distance paths, this would be the ultimate enjoyment, although very hard work!
I love the photos so far, especially Warehouses, Gravesend. At the start of the Saxon Shore Way…you never know what you will find just around the corner!

Hi Peter, Well you must be working through them at a fast rate if you have done a dozen already! Do try the coast yourself if it appeals – I highly recommend the experience. Glad you like the photos and thanks for the best wishes- I really love the saxon shore way and hope to rewalk some of the inland sections one day as I kept to the modern coastline
At 69 it is a bit far for me now, that’s why I’m following you. I hope to be here when you finish! I have walked many parts of the country, but the Saxon Shore Way, at least to Margate, would be a new type of landscape for me. New horizons!
