Truro Cathedral tower – I love standing in churches or other buildings with towers and looking at the architecture. Sadly, I have constant vertigo and so looking up can make me feel very unwell, very quickly. I tend to put my camera on the floor with the timer set and then hope for the best. Or, if no one official is looking, I’ll lie on the floor looking straight up. Not easy to do at times, especially if the building is a tourist attraction.
It’s often great perspective – I remember being laughed at as a teenager lying down between the twin towers in NYC trying to get my not very wide lens to fit more in!
When I started putting pictures on Panoramio, I found that a chap that lived within 10 miles, had taken many photos from exactly the same point. I would say 2 or 3 yards.
On following you round the coast I cannot as yet say the same of your good self. But how strange, I remember taking this picture in June 1981 sitting on the sidewalk!

How strange – sometimes the best angle is pretty universal. I did a twin towers shot in the 90,s lying on my back as I didn’t have a very wide lens with me. Remember being humorously teased by a passing New Yorker
