Very exciting, love them. Are you going to be going to Galloway?

    • Hi Nic, Thanks. NZ wow! Yes I’ve got to Dalbeattie and will be heading through the rest of Galloway at the start of Feb

  2. Annie says:

Loved the photograph of the salmon nets in the sea. As a child of 7/8 I have vivid memories of walking out to those nets with the fishermen at low tide and see their catch. I think we used to go from Sandy Hills Beach, Kirkcudbrightshire, when we lived in the village of Kippford.

    • Thanks for sharing your evocative memory. One of the joys of this project has been how a static image accumulates memories like yours and becomes all the richer for it.

  3. Vanessa Enos says:

Only just discovered these wonderful images on a very wet day here in Borgue, near Kirkcudbright on 19/2/21. I was looking for some inspiration for my winter trees on-line art project. Are you still workig in the area, or have you moved on?

    • Hi Vanessa, hope your project is going well, the trees around you are very distinctive. I moved on from your area in February 2018 but as I continue to edit the project D&G always finds a place.

Whether you have comments on the photos, some knowledge or a personal story on this area you’d like to share, or you’ve spotted a typo or error, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
