What a beautiful road….where’s my bicycle!

It was a long day but the miles just flew past. I’ll remember today on the stormy days ahead.

Woken at 2am in Campbeltown backpackers as a drunken muppet tries to get in my bunk. He swears in Scottish on finding a naked body inside, stumbles to a free bunk, farts, opens a tube of Pringles, scoffs the lot with VERY audible satisfaction, belches and then immediately starts snoring.

  1. The anti-aircraft battery looks as much a piece of modern art as the Antony Gormley sculpture. Your photos are always great but this is an exceptionally wonderful set.

    • It certainly does. It was never armed which adds to its strangeness. It was a joyful day so in glad some if that comes across.

  2. Pete Johnstone says:

A really great set of photos – should of gotten an audio of Pringles guy though.

  3. Have you heard of the crucifixion cave painting on Davaar Island? Might have been worth breaking the ‘no islands’ rule just the once, a km or so across the shingle at low tide.

    • Wow, I didn’t know about that, I do take in tidal islands if I feel like it and that would have been worth it.
