Shaved 2k off today’s route by crossing this old ford at low tide. At this rate I’ll be back in London in no time.

But why?

?

Seal crossing?

Deer fences crisscrossed my route today and the awkward procedure of climbing them offers a fine opportunity to win a darwin award.

  1. I’m pleased to see you are able to continue your walk Quintin, even in winter! I enjoyed some fine walking around Loch Leven back in the summer but sadly my age and joints rule out wild camping now. I enjoy your photography immensely. Good luck and good walking.

    • Thanks, the light can be more interesting in the winter…. for the 3 minutes a week then isn’t raining! I need a thicker sleeping pad than twenty years ago so I can imagine it gets more and more uncomfortable as the years pass.

  2. Pete Johnstone says:

I love Lady Margaret’s Tower – obviously not NT Scotland as no guard rails or warning signs.

  3. Jimmy Hudson says:

If I had £1 for every deer fence I climbed on my Scottish coast walk I could have a grand night out.

    • Ha! I don’t seem to get any easier with experience either does it. BTW how did you deal with Knoydart I’m planning that at the moment?

Whether you have comments on the photos, some knowledge or a personal story on this area you’d like to share, or you’ve spotted a typo or error, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
