Following the John Muir Way but not getting many John Muir vibes.

Managed to fall into an electric fence while trying to push the wires down with my sticks. Got three bolts before I untangled myself. The sparks were dramatic in the darkness as my torch was thrown off by falling. On the upside I don’t feel tired anymore!

Happy to report the next crossing was more successful!

Yes I saw some similar graffiti on the island of West Burra in the Shetlands.Strange I thought as they are not likely to encounter any migrants up there!I suppose that ignorance has no geographical boundaries.

    • After 11,000km I only saw a couple of bits of racist graffiti so it’s hardly widespread.

Whether you have comments on the photos, some knowledge or a personal story on this area you’d like to share, or you’ve spotted a typo or error, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
