Pushed against a tree root to gain a brief respite from the incessant rain.
Waterlogged feet after 37km almost entirely in the rain.
I had a hell of a job finding flat ground near Tayvallach that wasn’t waterlogged, the only place I could find being under this lay-by viewpoint.
Hope you weren’t eating your dinner!
And I thought MY feet were bad…
everything is relative 😉
Talk about suffering for your art. So much beauty here so beautifully observed, and all the while plodding through the rain getting soaked. Love the cake-away! (Love the sprouting cone). Do hope you’ve managed to dry out a bit…..
This was a damp few days and I couldn’t find a room at Tayvallach as it was peak holiday season. Had a rest day in that layby and dried out in the pub in the evening!
Wow what awful weather. I thought for a minute the photos had not loaded until I realised the first one is mostly white, on a white background!
haha yes, it has its own beauty but its not the best for walking
Some lovely minimalist imagery here, the ghostly Loch Sween pics in particular. Also getting a real sense of the remoteness of the area. Your poor damp tootsies though! 🙁
Yes, my memory of the day was as an ordeal but I’m very pleased with the images. I have dry sleeping socks I wear in the tent so my feet were right as rain (!) by the next morning.
