Day 335: Fortrose to Inverness – Felted gutweed & The Kessock Bridge

Ross-shire - East, Scotland

Date of walk: 23/8/19

House detail, Fortrose, Black Isle, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland.

At Fortrose, a father arranges five bikes in ascending size by his motorhome; as he turns his back, the wind catches the largest, and they topple like dominoes. Inverness is the biggest city I’ve seen in a long time and with its handsome sandstone houses seems to mark the end of the wild.

Seems like the builder’s merchant and marine salvage are the same place in the Black Isle, Avoch, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland.
